The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) today congratulated Arizona attorney Sandra Froman on her election as president of the National Rifle Association of America.
SAF Founder Alan Gottlieb met with Ms. Froman at the NRA convention in Houston, TX over the weekend.
“Sandy and I have been friends for many years, and I think she will bring lots of energy and knowledge to the job,” Gottlieb stated. “Her leadership skills will soon become evident, and her strengths include a terrific professional background, and deep devotion to the shooting sports.”
CCRKBA Executive Director Joe Waldron called Froman “one of the top leaders in the firearms rights community.”
“Sandy Froman knows the issues, she is a superb debater and a true friend to American gun owners,” Waldron observed. “We look forward to working with her whenever possible to strengthen the firearms civil rights of all law-abiding Americans.”
CCRKBA Communications Director Dave Workman, who served with Ms. Froman for nine years on the NRA Board of Directors, added, “Sandy is a remarkably talented person, and a dear friend. More than that, she is a great role model for women in the gun rights movement, and for women everywhere who want to make their own decisions on firearms ownership and personal protection.”
“There are many daunting challenges facing firearms owners over the next few years,” Gottlieb added, “and Sandy Froman is the kind of person who, I think, will not only rise to the occasion, but go above and beyond. American gun owners should be very glad she is on their side.”
